What to See
Grotta Azzurra (Blue Grotto) is the most famous cave on Capri Island. You can enter it only from the sea, in a small boat. Regular boat tours around the island often skip the grotto because of long lines. To be sure you see it, you need to book a separate tour to the cave. You can check tours on this website.
Anacapri – Marina Grande Trail is a hiking route along the cliffs, passing by the famous Mamma Mia Road. This is an old winding road with stunning sea views. The walk down takes about one hour; it’s better to go downhill rather than uphill.
Monte Solaro is the highest point on Capri (589 m). You can go up by chairlift or hike on the trail from Anacapri. At the top, you’ll enjoy the best panoramic views of the island, especially at sunrise or sunset.
Parco Filosofico (Philosophical Park) is a quiet place with sea views and quotes from philosophers. The trail runs along the cliff edge, with the sea below and cactuses and pine trees around.
Sentiero dei Fortini (Forts Trail) is a hiking path along the western coast of Capri Island. It connects old defence forts and small bays. Perfect for a morning walk without crowds.
