Cinque Terre
Cinque Terre is a part of the Ligurian coast in northern Italy, with five beautiful villages: Riomaggiore, Manarola, Corniglia, Vernazza, and Monterosso al Mare. It’s like a mini version of the Amalfi Coast: similar landscapes, colourful houses, scenic hiking trails, and small beaches – but everything is much more compact.
The Cinque Terre villages are connected by a train that runs like a metro – fast and frequent. This makes the trip very easy: you can visit all five villages in 1–2 days, simply taking the train or walking the scenic paths between the villages.
